Aang is the youngest Avatar Known only being 12 years old. He is also the Last airbedner. His Nation was killed off by the Fire Nation in the early years of the war. Aang is also dosen't eat meat because the Monks taught him that even the smallest of lives are important. His "pets" Are Oppa and Momo. And his weapon of choice is his staff. His best friends are Sokka and Katara and later on Toph. Aang is a kind and gentle soul. But also becomes confused between bringing justice and taking a life.

 Katara is 14 years old and her home is the Southern water tribe. Her brother is Sokka. She is the Last Water Bender of the southern water tribe. She longs for her mother to come home but knows she wont because her mother was killed in a Fire Nation raid. She finds Aang under the ocean near her home while she was yelling at  Sokka. She discovers that Aang has been in a 100 year long sleep. Katara is the mother figure of the group.

 Sokka is your normal teenager. And a skilled warrior who's sarcastic and loves meat. ( to Aangs dismay) As for Sokka's love life, his first girl friend turned into the moon spirit. Princess Yue. His 2nd girl friend Suki is a kyoshi warrior and she dosent pop up a lot till the 3rd season. Sokka loves his Bommerang and his "Space" sword. As sceen in the picture. Sokka misses his dad terribly over the course of the season, he hasn't sceen him in 2 whole years which feels like a life time to Sokka.

 Toph is 12 years old, and probally the best Earth bender of all time. She can even bend Metal which should be physically impossible for a normal Earth Bender. But Toph is no normal Earth Bender she is blind which makes her earth bending senses even greater. Toph's parents are also very rich. Toph's nickname was the " Blind Bandit" She joins Aang's group when Aang needs an Earth Bending teacher.

We don't know much about Suki except she's the leader of the kyoshi warriors and she lives on Kyoshi Island. She is Sokka's current girl friend. She left Kyoshi  island to fight in the war she said that Anag and his group really inspired her to do some good. She is also a skilled fighter. 

Zuko is a teen and the bansihed prince of the Fire Nation. The Scar on his eye is the result of his bansihment. His father gave it to him. The only way Zuko can come back home with honor is to bring the Avatar with him. Later on in the series Zuko becomes confused about who he is. Good or Evil? Soon he joins Avatar Aangs group. Being the " good" side fighting the war. Much like Katara Zuko to has lost his mother.   

Azula is the princess of the Fire Nation, Zuko's sister. She is 14 years old and has only two best friends from child hood. May and Ty Li. Azula is a very powerful firebender so much so she can bend electricity. Even great master's cannot do such a thing. She has and always will fight for her father the fire lord and be agaisnt the Avatar. She is so cunning she herself took down Ba Sing Se. Her and Zuko do not get along.

Uncle Iroh, or know as the Dragon of the West is the fire lord's brother. He too is a powerful firebender. He helps Zuko find himself and they both join the side of good. Iroh loves tea, and the founder of "TheOrder of the White Lotus" He teachs everyone lessons about themselves.
